Dear clients please read our protocols and rules that we have created under the guidance of WCB, Public Health Officials and the Beauty Council. We wish that this wasn’t so, but we must do everything we can to ensure staff, client and community safety.
Scheduling your appointment
-Appointments will be required in advance.
-You MUST call us for an appointment (250 735 4418), we need to talk you before booking you in. If you message us for an appointment on Facebook, you will be asked to call us.
-If we do not answer the phone please leave us a message and will get back to you as soon as we can. (we are working with less staff coverage)
-No walk ins at this time please.
-We will be asking a series of pre-screening questions at the time of a booking.
-You will receive a text and or email reminder 24hr to 48hrs before your up- coming appointment. Please do not try to reply to the text/email message. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please call us as soon as possible.
-Please CANCEL YOUR appointment if you have any signs of illness. (cancelation fee for illness will be waived)
Before/Upon Arrival and what to expect.
-We ask all clients to please take care of their washroom facility needs prior to arriving at their appointments (yes, we will of course still allow you the use of our facilities)
-Our doors will be locked in between appointments. We kindly ask you wait patiently outside or in your car until a staff member opens the door and calls/signals for you to come in.
-We ask that you please arrive on time if you are late, we cannot accommodate your appointment and you will be charged for your full appointment cost.
-All clients will be required to bring and wear their own masks and must have them on and covering nose and mouth upon entering our establishment.
-No mask, no service. You will be informed/reminded of this at the time of booking and if you show up without a mask you will not be allowed in and will be charged for your full appointment cost.
-We kindly ask you do not bring in any additional items including bags, food and drinks as we cannot offer to store your personal items.
-We will have all clients use/visit our hand sanitizer station upon entry and in addition may be asked to wash your hands before your service.
-Children with appointments please have only 1 adult accompany them.
-We ask that you DO NOT bring additional guests, children or pets to your appointments.
Service Changes and Retail
-We ask that all in-service clients needing to purchase products to please refrain from touching all retail items and testers and please allow our staff to gather them for you.
-If you do not have an appointment and are only needing products, please call us ahead of time, shop online through our links here or at luxiabeautybarandlaserclinic.com (free delivery for Port Alberni only) or message us on FB to arrange payment and pickup/delivery.
-ALL NAIL clients we ask that you do not handle or touch your cell phones/devices during your nail appointments, unless it is an emergency. We want to minimize any further cross contamination. Please send your nail art/design ideas to us in advance to our Facebook messenger
-We will not be giving out any product samples at this time.
When your service is finished
-Our staff will direct you and kindly ask that you get your debit/credit card payment method ready.
-If you are wanting to rebook, we highly suggest doing this before you leave
Our commitment and additional protocols
-All Staff have current sanitization/disinfectant Certifications.
-We will have appropriate signage posted to help direct you.
-All staff will be required to wear masks (face shields are available if staff deems necessary to wear) and gloves when applicable while performing services.
-A max of 5 clients will be allowed in at the same time with scheduled appointments.
-A max of 5 staff will be present at the same time.
-We will have stable plexiglass barriers at our nail tables and reception area that will be installed using a local reputable glass company that is government regulated to install for Covid 19 protection.
-All employee workstations that are in use are at least 2 meters apart.
-All employees will respect and maintain social distancing wherever possible.
-We will be sanitizing and disinfecting all stations, rooms, hair sinks, chairs, tools implements, beds, and equipment as always after each client.
-We will be accepting e-transfers, debit and all major credit cards for payment options. NO CASH at this time please.
-Debit machines will be sanitized after every use.
-Washroom facilities will be sanitized after every use.
-All high traffic areas will be sanitized and disinfected multiple times throughout the day.
-As always, all staff will be required to wash/sanitize their hands upon arriving to work, before appointments, (during if necessary) after appointments, after eating/drinking, and touching anything unclean that could spread cross contamination, bacteria and germs etc.
-We will be suspending the offer of all complimentary beverages at this time.
-We will be allowing more time in between appointments to sanitize/disinfect and to allow for more social distancing and staggering of interactions.
-PLEASE if you have any questions or are unsure, please ask us and one of our helpful staff will be more than happy to assist you.
Staff has the right to refuse service at any time.
